To Our Fans - We Thank You

We want to take this moment to thank all of our friends and family,
and to those who come to our performances!

One of our greatest joys is meeting new friends
and visiting with friends we've met along the way.
Young and old!

We have been performing music since May 2012
and this journey would mean very little without your support and appreciation.

As you may know, we will be taking a little break for the first part of the year
in an effort to make room for Maggie's little baby boy (to arrive mid February).
Soon, very soon!

Watch for announcements of our 2020 schedule with dates beginning in late July. At that time, we will have a few surprises to share with you! Stay tuned. We'll be sure to post hints in the months ahead!

Wishing you Peace and Joy this Christmas Season
and in the new year ahead!

2017 - Friends and Fans

We couldn't conclude our year in review without giving a nod to all the friends and fans who've offered their support along the way.
We so appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for joining us on this ride.

Neodesha Arts Center

We are blessed in SE Kansas to have the Neodesha Arts Center--such a sweet little auditorium that offers free concerts for the community and its surrounding area.

Here with a dear little fan from Chanute.
Thanks for inviting us back for another performance. It's always a pleasure!

Trail Celebration

Earlier this month, we joined a host of Kansas musicians for the first [Santa Fe] Trail Celebration in Burlingame, KS.
The weather was a bit cold, but the day turned out wonderful.

Thanks to Mark Hecht for inviting us and doing all the groundwork for this event. We hope to join you there again next year!

Winter Performances

This past winter we've had to cancel performances due to flu bugs and icy weather.
Despite that, we've managed to get in shows in Iola, Wichita, Topeka, and Overland Park.

A Few Fans Along the Way

We meet so many wonderful folks on our music travels--
some who have become great friends who follow us from near and far--you are amazing!

We wanted to recognize them, and regret that we don't have pictures of all of you!

Last weekend, we returned to Fort Scott, Kansas to finish off their Friday Night Music Series
--this time held inside at the First United Methodist Church.

Homer's Coffee House in June

We had such a great time at Homer's Coffee House in Overland Park, Kansas this past weekend.

We never know what attendance will be like at coffee shops in the summer,
but we were thrilled when folks kept streaming in--with not a table available!
Wow--you amazed us and left us bubbling over with gratitude.

Here with one of our most faithful fans. We treated him to our last t-shirt in stock.
Thank you for joining us for our music.
We look forward to returning to Homer's in November.
Tomorrow, we'll return to Stone Pillar Vineyard and Winery in Olathe.
Music from 2-5:00 PM. Join us!

Good Ol' Days 2015

Thanks to everyone who braved the heat and came out to listen to our music this past weekend at Good Ol' Days in Fort Scott.
We had a great time, despite the 90 degree temperatures.
Guess Summer has arrived...

6/3/15

House Concert and Tanganyika Wildlife Park

We had a great time this past weekend at the House Concert in Goddard, KS.

The day began with a visit to the Tanganyika Wildlife Park--
which turned out to be an amazing surprise and awesome little zoo!
If you ever have a chance to visit this zoo, you should most certainly put it on your agenda.

5/6/15

Kansas Sampler Festival 2015

This past weekend we traveled to Wamego for the Kansas Sampler Festival.
This was our second year to perform at the Sampler,
and we had a loaded schedule for both Saturday and Sunday.

A Year in Review ~ 2014

Looking back at 2014, we had some fun and amazing moments on stage and off.

12/8/14

The Woodshed

Last month we had a chance to return to The Woodshed in Carthage, MO.

We always enjoy our visits to this venue, and this time proved no different. They now serve wonderful food for their Friday night performances--their menu changes each time. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Here with two fans from Hutchinson who were visiting Joplin over Thanksgiving!
We'll return to Carthage in April. Mark your 2015 calendar and plan on joining us then!

Missouri and Oklahoma Travels

This past weekend, we kept our little red truck busy traveling to Missouri, Oklahoma, and then back home to Kansas. We had a fun time in Neosho, MO at the Fall Festival. Lots of people meandering and beautiful weather. And of course, we couldn't leave without grabbing some Kettle Corn to munch on for our drive.

After lunch, we headed to Tulsa and did a bit of shopping at Barnes and Noble and then Drysdales before our concert at Joe Mommas for the First Saturday Blue Dome Music Series. This was our first time performing Downtown or in Tulsa, so we had no idea what to expect.

You showed us lots of appreciation and we thank you for that.

Pictured here left to right - Carla Stewart, Abbey, Maggie, and Kathleen Y'BarboTurner
Thanks especially to Robert and Kathleen Y'Barbo Turner and Carla Stewart for joining us, two of mom's fellow writing friends from Tulsa.

Thanks also to new Oklahoma fans Josh and Candice Hahn for doing so much research and taking the time to check us out online and in person! We are very happy that you enjoyed Cotton Waltz. It's been awhile since we've sang that one!

Next up, we'll travel to Eudora, Kansas to perform at Cutter's Smokehouse -- Saturday, October 11, from 8-10:00 PM. Join us if you can!

6/30/14

Groundhouse Coffee

This past weekend, we returned to Groundhouse Coffee in Gardner, KS. We spent the day visiting our oldest sister and her family. We LOVE our little niece and cannot wait for her to learn an instrument so she can join us on stage!

Until then, we'll just have to satisfy ourselves with entertaining her...

Thanks to everyone who came to listen to our music--including our cousins, Jason, Amy, and Lexi!

Next up, we'll head to Eudora, KS to Cutter's Smokehouse on Saturday, July 12. Performance from 8-10:00 PM. Make plans to join us there for some great barbecue and music!

11/11/13

Next Performance ~ Fine Arts Concert

This past weekend, we had a fun time at the Harvest of Talents at Galesburg Christian Church. The auction raised over $5800 with all proceeds going to IDES - International Disaster Emergency Service organization to feed the hungry.

A group of students from Pittsburg State University, Campus Christians were in attendance, and we had a chance for a photo op with them. Such fun!

This next weekend, we'll be traveling to Plano, Texas for a Fine Arts Concert at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. We're looking forward to sharing our songs and making new friends in Texas. If you live in that area, we'd love to have you join us.

10/14/13

Coffee Houses and Tepees

This past weekend was a whir of activity as we traveled to Wichita, Kansas on Friday to perform at Mead's Corner Coffee House. What a sweet place this turned out to be.

Several friends joined us for the concert, including Roger, who has traveled to several of our concerts this past year.

As well as friends from our hometown.

Kansas Author, and friend, Deborah Raney, hosted us for the night and took us garage sale shopping the next morning. What fun!

On Saturday, we traveled to rural Fort Scott to perform at a private Folk Jam hosted by Daniel Kerr.

A huge tepee was set up for the evening, which turned out to be a terrific way to enjoy great music and meet new friends. One member from the Stillwater Hobos attended to add some Irish Folk music to the mix. All-in-all, a great weekend.

Our next performance will be Saturday, October 26 at Homer's Coffee House in Overland, Park, Kansas.

9/23/13

Galesburg Days

This past weekend, we enjoyed performing at Galesburg Days. We were scheduled to sing there last year, but the concert was rained out after one song. This year, the weather was perfect.

We sang during the city-wide barbecue dinner--which was very tasty.

Our Grandma and Grandpa Vogts joined us for the evening.

Our friend and mentor, Russell Head and his family attended too, and ran the sound equipment. Thanks Russ!

After the concert, we enjoyed signing CDs for a few people. Thanks to everyone who came to listen!!

Next Saturday, we'll perform at Tecumseh Days (east of Topeka) at 1:00 PM. If you live in the area, make plans to join us. We'd love to see you there!
